Vienna & Prague: My Experience! (Part 3)

And here we are again... welcome to part THREE of my Vienna & Prague experience. If you've found your way through the last 40 pictures, congratulations... Here's another set! Now you're probably feeling as overwhelmed as we were by the time we made it through the fourth art museum (wink, wink). But really, I'm having so much fun writing these posts. Who knew you'd get so much to read in one day?

As I mentioned in the last part, we were given plenty of free time to explore the parts of Vienna we hadn't seen on our museum route. Though I really appreciate that we set such an ambitious agenda (and we accomplished most of it!), it was the free time to just wander around that was the most enjoyable. Here are some pictures I took while we were just walking:

There were some beautiful, political, and thought-provoking graffiti pieces along the river. My friend (and quickly decided travel "buddy" of sorts -- we had a great time together!) and I made our way down about a mile and a half of the running trail, stopping every few feet to look at the incredible art. I never thought I'd be a fan of graffiti, but it really does have its place.

Look at these... The first one was definitely done by two different artists.

The ones I thought were the most interesting were the blatantly political pieces:

After strolling past the graffiti walls, we stopped at the Kunst Haus to take some pictures. There was an entire museum inside, but by the time we got there, we were too museum-ed out. But the outside was a work of art, too!

The last place we visited as a group while in Vienna was the Schönbrunn Palace. We took the "Grand Tour" of forty rooms and, well, it was ginormous. I actually woke up sick that day and wasn't feeling great whatsoever, but I'm glad I powered through. This was a wonderful sight:

Think we're done yet? Not quite! CLICK HERE for part four... Hope to see you there!

Keep not settling,
