I've been a fan of L.L. Bean's signature Bean Boots since I bought my pair back in August. Although it was still warm in North Carolina at the time, I had been searching for the perfect pair of wet-weather boots to keep me from slipping on the treacherous brick walkways on campus. Needless to say, I found them... and I adore them. I even have a Pinterest board dedicated to them.
They might not be the most "attractive" things in the world, but oh my god, I can tell you that they've saved my butt from more than a few bruises over the last few months. It hasn't snowed on campus (yet?) but these boots keep my feet warm and dry when it's raining, or even if it's just really, really cold.
I brought them back to California with me for winter break and I've even gotten quite a lot of usage out of them here on the west coast. It's been rainy and super chilly, to the point where even my riding boots leave my feet cold, so my Bean Boots have been the perfect option.
So, it's pretty much safe to say that I've gotten my money out of these boots already, and the winter season isn't even over yet!
The best parts about them? They are:
- Made in the USA (Maine, to be exact)
- 100% weatherproof
- Durable (I can tell they're going to last forever)
- Warm, oh so warm
- Surprisingly lightweight for rubber and leather
The only cons are that they're not super easy to get on or take off... but that's a small price to pay for how amazing they are.
Score 1 for L.L. Bean!
Keep not settling,
