Sense of Direction.

I sat down with my advisor yesterday to discuss my 4-year-plan... goodness gracious. She assured me that I'll be able to conquer everything that's required of me, especially next year. With so much going on already this semester, I really just needed someone to acknowledge that I was going in the right direction.

Today, I'm feeling so much better about where I'm going and what I'm doing. Just the simple fact of knowing that my advisor -- who I trust completely -- has faith in me really does mean a lot.

Ever since I can remember, I've had a really good sense of direction for my life. Maybe it's just because I'm a go-getter, but once I set my mind to something, pretty much nobody can stop me. These last few months at Salem have solidified that part of my personality even more, and now that I have a solid 4-year-plan prepared, I can really start to crack down .

I think it's extremely important to find and keep a sense of direction. I have a few friends who have changed their majors or minors lately because they're finding what they really love doing, and I can't be anything but happy for them. As great as it feels to finally have my own plan in place for sure, it's just as rewarding to watch everyone else find it too.

Now, that's not to say that everything won't change. But for today, I have my eyes set on a very particular goal, and I'm not losing sight of it.

Keep not settling,
