This week's weekly roundup is a bit different. At the moment I'm writing this, I have an internet connection and am still in North Carolina. However, by the time you're reading it, I'll be heading back from the trip. You'll just have to keep checking back for my "roundups" from the trip. Anyway, I'm rambling now.
ONE | Gilmore Girls on Netflix
Okay, so I've been watching (read: marathoning/binging) Gilmore Girls ever since it came on Netflix. But I didn't really watch it over winter break, so I'm just now on Season 5... and oh my goodness. I've seen sporadic episodes here and there over the years, but watching it in consecutive order is perfect. I've been laughing so hard while watching recent episodes.
TWO | YouTube Comedy
Over the last year or so, I've grown to really love and appreciate the comedic community on YouTube. Along with my favorite, Good Mythical Morning with Rhett and Link, which I mentioned in the last Weekly Roundup, individual acts like Miranda Sings (Colleen Ballinger) have also been a great source of entertainment. I have a signed postcard from one of her shows, given to me by one of my best friends from home!
THREE | A really great book
As you might have seen on my recent "My Life in Instagram Photos" post, I've been reading Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn lately and... well, it's perfect. While reading it, I've been nothings short of impressed by Flynn's writing style and her ability to portray emotion through characters and events. There have been several times while reading that I found myself convinced that I was actually in the story... that takes serious talent.
FOUR | Friends on Netflix
I know I've already mentioned a television show, but there's another one my wonderful roommate and I have been hooked on.. Friends! Like Gilmore Girls, I've seen episodes out of order for years, but it's been so much fun to watch them back-to-back. Let's just not mention that we haven't yet been able to just watch one or two episodes... Jan-Term is great for 4-hour marathons.
FIVE | Ultra-bright throw pillows
If you've been reading my blog for a while, you would know that I would totally be an interior designer if my love for political science wasn't so strong. So, I live my designer dreams vicariously through blogs. I found Bright Bazaar Blog not long ago, and quickly came across this post. Needless to say... I really love throw pillows.
